Dear Parents,
In light of the recent spike in Covid-19 community cases, the Singapore government has implemented heightened safe distancing measures. Adhering to these measures, Heguru OCC will be shifting the June term break to the coming 2 weeks. There will be no classes from today, 17 May till 30 May 2021.
We will be monitoring the situation and government's advisory closely and will update all parents again after these 2 weeks.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
o Plan and teach Heguru programme catered to 0 – 6 years old students as per set standard
o Engaged children in their learning journey
o Prepare lesson materials and resources within the criteria assigned
o Keep parents updated on their child’s progress
o Create a conducive and fun learning environment in and out of the classroom
o Uphold the school’s code of conduct, policies, rules and regulations in a supportive and positive manner.
o Any other ad-hoc assignments as required
Requirements:
o Strongly passionate about teaching young kids and interested in their development
o Possess a very high energy level
o High level of professionalism and work ethics
o Patient and caring
o Adaptable, flexible and with a creative flair
o A team player with excellent planning and organizing skills
o Good communication skills in both written and oral English
o I.T. literate
o At least a diploma holder
o Must be able to work on weekends

Heguru @ Sembawang invited child pschologist Dr. Reena Dabas as the resource speaker at the Parents' Talk held earlier in April. She delivered a very insightful talk on "Vision Driven Children: Right Brain Thinking Skills for Creativity and Innovation", which enabled the parent attendees to understand right brain development and their role in nurturing their children's creativity.

This Christmas season, kids, parents and teachers at Heguru@Sembawang came together to gather toys and books for sharing with other young children via our friends at The Salvation Army. The efforts represented the kind hearts and generousity of Heguru@Sembawang family, with everyone's willing contribution to the endeavour.
Likewise, great appreciation is expressed to Pastor Major Mark Brooke and Ms. Ann Devadas, both dedicated representatives of The Salvation Army community, who personally came over to the centre to accept the gifts.

On the 12th of November 2016, Heguru@ Sembawang, was invited to the Supermom Seminar entitled "The First 1,000 Days, What to Expect - Pregnancy, Childbirth and Raising a Better Child" at Max Atria Expo. With our own Principal Maria were Lead Teacher Jamie and Principal Jerris of Heguru@City Square, who did an insightful talk about the Heguru programme offered at both centres. A lot of expectant mommies and young families got to know about 'How to Nurture a Child's Genius Brain'.
